The article entitled "Data-driven science and machine learning methods in laser–plasma physics" was selected as the 2023 High Power Laser Science and Engineering Editor-in-Chief Choice Award paper.

This review paper aimed to bridge the gap between high power laser community and the expanding field of data science and provided the peers and students with a practical overview of machine learning techniques while showcasing successful applications in both experiments and simulations.
